The Holy Rosary School Council is advisory in nature. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 5:15 in the church foyer. The School Council collaborates with school administrators in connection with the following matters:

Planning,
General Policy formulation and adaptation,
Development, public relations, recruitment, and marketing,
Annual evaluation of school goals and plans, of their own effectiveness as council members and of the principal's relations with the board,
Participation in the selection of a new principal, and
Participation in the comprehensive evaluation of the principal.

Characteristics of effective school council members include:

An active practicing Catholic who is a person of deep faith and prayer committed to serving the Church,
Commitment to the support of Catholic schools,
Readiness to give time, talent and share wisdom,
Understanding of and commitment to a shared decision-making process and the principles of consensus-building,
Understanding and respect of Church structure and accountability,
Openness to change and creativity,
Commitment to maintain confidentiality in appropriate matters,
Commitment to avoid conflicts of interest, and
Willingness to recommend or donate services rather than profit from service on the Council.
